This January

has to have been one of the most miserable weatherwise for a few years. It has been dominated by grey wet days with very little sun and no snow! Although itis meant to be cold tomorrow a big storm is predicted for Friday. I do not know how much more rain the UK can take.

However the robin has been visiting

We have had at least two blackbird and although he is facing the wrong way to see it this one has a black beak
The other one counted in the big bird count had the usual yellow beak.  We have had numerous sparrows at least two dozen for the count.

Our blackbirds have started to make a noise again, all getting very territorial. Yep, more rain and then some more, and if we are lucky we might have some the day after that. They can do away with the weather forecasts, we know, it's going to rain :-) x x x

It's cold on the this side of the "pond " too. Rob's been putting out lots of extra seed for our backyard visitors. Keep warm!
